What alcohol
or drug services do the Santa Barbara County Alcohol & Drug Program provide?
Answer: The Santa Barbara County Alcohol & Drug Program is
primarily an administrative office that contracts with local community based
organizations to provide alcohol & drug prevention, early intervention,
treatment and recovery services to the community. In addition, SBADP conducts
project-specific preliminary assessments and recommendations for treatment
placement for Adult and Juvenile offenders. SBADP also refers callers or
visitors to local alcohol and other drug prevention, intervention and treatment
programs.

Are residential treatment facilities available
for alcohol or drug treatment?
Answer: Residential
treatment facilities are available but space is limited. Clients are often
placed on waiting lists. To find out more about residential treatment facilities,

Answer: Yes, detoxification services are provided within the county. Some alcohol & drug service clients do require detoxification prior to entry into an

can I go for "Court Directed" treatment?
Answer: Those who are directed by the Court to obtain treatment should contact their
assigned Probation or Parole Officer to discuss what program they might
be required to attend. If you have questions about the DUI, PC1000, Drug

Is treatment available for those suffering from
both mental problems and substance abuse problems?
Answer: Yes, alcohol, drug and mental health services are
available for person with both an alcohol and other drug problem and mental
illness, sometimes referred to as dually diagnosed. The following providers
specialize in dual diagnosis treatment: for the Santa Barbara region contact

Where can my teenager receive services for
their alcohol or drug problem? Answer: Treatment
services are available for teens in our community. Each area of the county
has a Youth & Family Treatment Center to serve youth with substance abuse
problems and provide counseling to their families. SBADP contracts with

you are currently living with someone or concerned about someone with an
